Tech N9ne recently announced his brand new studio album Planet, set to drop on March 2nd. Now, the red-haired mogul is back with a new single "Don't Nobody Want None", "dedicated to all the DJs and dance crews all around the world." The track, which is a pseudo-remake of Hashim's 1983 banger "Al-Naafiysh (The Soul)," is a clear homage to the b-boy era, reminiscent of Tech's Anghellic cut "P.R. 2K1." Speaking with Complex, Tech shines some light on his decision to go vintage, stating ""It’s an honor to be able to re-do 'Al-Naafiysh (The Soul)' on this album to pay homage to all the breakdancers and all the DJs, all the dance crews."
He goes on to elaborate on how break dancing was an integral part of his own come-up: "That’s me. I started out break dancing and pop-lockin. Then I started rhyming and then rapping just took over. I never forgot where I started though." Stay tuned for Planet, coming soon.
