For every post about Tim Gent, we are obligated to provide a link to his mixtape Clarksville Nights, which he released in April and still bumps smooth as ever. The Clarksville, TN rapper is prepping an EP called For the Love. After premiering "Rising Son" five weeks ago, HNHH premieres the latest offering from the tape, a track called "The Vision."
"The Vision" features fellow emcee T. Clark with production from Free P, Rmur, and Matic Lee. Far from the relaxed drums and Nina Simone sample of "Rising Son," "The Vision" is a frenzied whirlpool of cascading 808s and sharp dial-tone synths. The trio of producers utilizes a baby's wail as an ad-lib, perhaps as a reference to the fact that Gent became the father of a baby boy just a few months ago. Check the cover art... For the Love EP coming soon.
