Beyoncé's mom, Tina Knowles-Lawson, put her own twist on the dance challenge to her daughter and Megan Thee Stallion's "Savage (Remix)."
Considering Beyoncé "got this shit from Tina" in the first place, it was only right that the "Savage (Remix)" matriarch gave the viral TikTok dance challenge a shot—in her own way. Following the massive success of Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion's remix of the latter's "Savage," it didn't take long for those dancing youths on TikTok to come up with a corresponding routine with choreography ten timers harder than that of the original. The remix challenge is just that—challenging—which is why the 66-year-old decided to come up with her own moves to her eldest daughter's track.
"Haaaa!!!" Tina wrote on the video. "Yeah i know they didn’t get their dance moves from me !! They got em from their daddy! Its okay i still like to dance!!!!! And i got two new knees." Tina's choreo proves to be much simpler and easier to follow than that of the #SavageRemixChallenge, consisting mostly of just swaying back and forth with some hand motions. However, when Bey's line "If you don't jump to put jeans on/Baby you don't feel my pain" plays, Tina decides to demonstrate this action with a tight grip and a hop.

Although she's appreciative of her shoutout on the wildly popular remix, Tina has confessed that she doesn't quite understand what "savage" actually means.
