Tory Lanez shared on Instagram that if an event requires him to bring his gun, he doesn't need to be there.
Something has caused Tory Lanez to reflect on his surroundings. The singer's star has continued to rise in recent years, and his April release, The New Toronto 3, landed him his third No. 1 record. With new power comes new responsibility, and it looks as if Tory Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, is switching things up in how he moves in order to keep himself safe and level-headed.

The father took to his Instagram Story to share that from this day forward, you may not see him at certain clubs or events in the days to come. "I've reached a place in life .. where it's like ... if I have to bring my gun to the function ... I don't need to be at the type of function anymore." We're sure that today's political climate and recent deaths of artists like Pop Smoke and Houdini have aided in Lanez deciding to move a little differently in the streets.
Meanwhile, Lanez is preparing for the release of his music video for his single "Stupid Again" from The New Toronto 3. He previewed a clip of the video on IG and teased that if he received enough emoji responses, he would drop the visual on Wednesday (June 17). Check out Tory Lanez's posts below.
