Last night (November 17th), Ella Mai made her debut on the Saturday Night Live stage as the sketch comedy show's musical guest where she performed her "Boo'd Up" and "Trip" hits.

Mai's appearance on the show was announced earlier in this month and marks yet another milestone in a fantastic year for the British songstress who currently sits at No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart with her self-titled debut. "Boo'd Up" previously peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, while "Trip" has since reached No. 11. Arriving on October 12th, her album was certified Platinum the same month while "Trip" and "Boo'd Up" have enjoyed the same certifications. Currently, Mai is a top contender for the Best New Artist category at the 2019 GRAMMY ceremonies. For any confirmation, though, we'll have to wait until December 5th when nominees are officially announced.

Hosted by Steve Carrell, who is currently promoting his Beautiful Boy film, this latest episode of Saturday Night Live featured Carrell as Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos in one skit while the Cold Open took on the ongoing conversation of voter fraud as highlighted by recent midterm elections in the United States with Kate McKinnon portraying Laura Ingraham in a Fox News segment.
