During a recent appearance on the Tonight Show, Whoopi Goldberg and Tiffany Haddish had a moment of intergenerational bonding where Whoopi surprised a choked up Haddish in a video clip and the Haddish surprised Whoopi in the flesh, wearing the famous  "shredder"  dress from Goldberg's Jumpin' Jack Flash, Haddish referring to her as "mama." The two star together in Tyler Perry's new film Nobody's Fool and, in a recent interview with Goldberg and Perry, talk began about another possible collaboration between Whoopi, Perry and Haddish.

Although Goldberg said that in response to a question about Jumpn' Jack Flash 2: "No, because that’s not the sequel I want to do," she did give her blessing for another sequel: Sister Act 3. The first sister act released back in 1992 and the sequel Sister Act 2: Back In The Habit, came out a year later in 1993. Now, in 2018, Tyler Perry is interested in producing number three. He said, on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen: "the two of them in Sister Act, that should happen. Let’s make it happen.” When Cohen, the host of the show, asked Perry if he could buy the rights to the Sister Act franchise from Disney, he said: "That’s exactly what I was thinking. I was sitting here thinking, 'Tiffany Haddish, Whoopi in Sister Act, we’ll go get ‘em!"
