Earlier this month, YNW Melly was arrested as a suspect in the double murder of his two close associates YNW Sakchaser and YNW Juvy. The artist, whose real name is Jamell Demons, sat down with us a few days prior to his arrest to speak about his past experiences in prison and how his career was going up until that point. Things turned around quickly and now, Melly might be in a great deal of trouble. According to a local news website, the artist may have been responsible for another man's shooting death.

As reported by XXL, YNW Melly is now a suspect in the murder of deputy Gary Chambliss in 2017. Anonymous sources have revealed that both YNW Melly and YNW Bortlen were at the scene of the shooting, standing as part of a group and firing bullets when Chambliss was struck and killed. It is currently believed that either Melly or Bortlen fired the fatal shot.

As you know by now, the two rappers are in police custody after being arrested for the deaths of YNW Sakchaser and YNW Juvy. The investigation is ongoing regarding Chambliss' homicide and Capt. Tony Consalo, the head of the Sheriff's Office criminal investigations division, is confident that the boys will spill some information. "Perhaps, given their current situation, they might be able to shed some light on the case," said Consalo.
