You may have heard ZAN's name through his work on Keith Charles Spacebar's project, We're All a Little Triflin', but unlike the rest of the Atlanta-based Awful records crew, he hails from New York. "Blending" is the singer's debut single, showcasing a sweet falsetto, informed by reggae as much as it is R&B.
An arpeggiated guitar sample plays throughout, making his claim of making "trap-infused R&B" a bit mysterious (though the drum programming does lean that way), but we're sure that dimension of his sound will reveal itself on future releases.
"Blending" has placed ZAN among this week's final four Heatseekers. If you like to have your song or video featured on the site, you can submit content to us here.
As the days go
You know our love grows
And all I could say is
"Damn, look what God gave me"|
As wise, beautiful, so spiritual
Girl so down to earth that she reminds me of daisies
