6LACK's new album performs well in its first week out.
Last week, we saw a few new albums drop and as always, we're pretty interested in seeing how the people are consuming them. While Eminem's Kamikaze saw him burst to the top of the list a few weeks ago, his sales are still astronomical with all the drama keeping him in the news. The most notable releases were from 6LACK and YoungBoy Never Broken Again with the former releasing a well-timed quality album and the latter combining his EP series to make a new project. Both have been commercially well received but how do the numbers look?
According to HitsDailyDouble, 6LACK has made it into the top 5 in terms of album sales last week. Carrie Underwood is almost guaranteed to debut at the top spot as the country star is expected to move 240K units in her first week. Next to her is Eminem, who continues to impress by moving 107K approximate units. 6LACK is next in line with a projected 74K units moved, of which up to 26K are traditional album sales. Travis Scott, Mac Miller, Nicki Minaj, and Ariana Grande round out the top 10 with NBA YoungBoy creeping in to close out the ten most successful projects of the last week. YoungBoy is expected to move 37K units for his 4Respect 4Freedom 4Loyalty 4WhatImportant tape.
The exact sales will be revealed in a few days but usually, HDD is pretty spot on with this stuff. Check out the entire list here.
