EA focused on it's shooter titles for this year's E3 Press Conference.
It's the biggest weekend of the year for gaming, and all the big companies are looking to make the biggest impression at this year's E3 conference. First up to the plate was EA, who put a heavy focus on their big shooting franchises, while announcing some exciting new games. Here are the biggest highlights:
Battlefield Takes On Fortnite
It should be no surprise to anyone that the "Battle Royale" genre of shooting game, popularized by PUBG and brought even further by Fortnite: Battle Royale, would be getting some more competition in the future. EA's upcoming Battlefield V will not only include vehicles and destructible environments, but also a "Royale re-imagined" mode that aims to take on the popular survival game.
More Star Wars
The press conference was very Star Wars heavy this year, with a major announcement for new content for Star Wars: Battlefront II, as well as a brand new game. Battlefront will be receiving a bunch of new upgrades, including a squad system, new game modes, new maps, and new heroes such as General Greivous and Anakin Skywalker.
They also announced that Respawn Entertainment will be creating a brand new Star Wars game called: Jedi: Fallen Order. Little is known about the game, other than you'll be playing as a Padawan following the events of Episode III.
Bioware Is Back
Bioware games, creators of the Mass Effect and Dragon Age series, showed up their new sci-fi RPG, Anthem. The game will focus on mechanical suits, called "Javelins," which will allow the player to switch classes depending on which suit they're wearing. The game play looks like nothing they've ever done before, and is definitely something to pay attention to.
