BlocBoy JB talks Drake, Lil Pump collab and more in "On The Come Up."

BlocBoy JB is undoubtedly one of the hottest emerging rappers in the game right now. He took the world by storm in a matter of months since releasing "Look Alive" with Drake. The song has shot up the charts and sat in the top five of the Billboard Hot 100. Even if you don't know who BlocBoy JB is from that song, you definitely know the "Shoot" dance. Everyone from Lil Uzi Vert to Childish Gambino have done it. We recently linked up with BlocBoy JB for the latest episode of "On The Come Up" where he spoke on linking up with Drake, collaborating with Lil Pump, the "Shoot" dance and more.

Within a matter of months, BlocBoy JB went from a bubbling name in the South to a nationally known name and much of that is credited to the major artists he's collaborated with since January including the Drake feature on "Look Alive." Blocboy JB explained how the two of them ended up connecting to release their huge collaboration.

"[He] posted me performing on Instagram and everybody start tagging me in it, in the story's and shit." He said, "I had commented, like in the messages, in the DM's, I was like '100,' and then he replied back [in] about 30 minutes. [He was] like 'my favorite rapper. We gotta work.' Next day, he sent me a song and I jumped on it."

BlocBoy JB also explained that how his viral "Shoot" dance came about, collaborating with Lil Pump, his new mixtape, Simi and more.
