Nevada authorities confirm that Dennis Hof has passed away at the age of 72. His body was found at one of his famous brothels located in Crystal, Nevada.

According to Nye County Sheriff Lt. David Boruchowitz, an employee of Hof's Love Ranch brothel called for help this morning around 11 AM after the boss was found completely unresponsive. Boruchowitz says no sign of foul play was found at the scene.

The deceased man, who was known to enjoy a party-filled lifestyle of extravagance, had lived an iconic life. He gained popularity through an HBO series that chronicled his business and employees. Hof owned 6 brothels in his native state of Nevada, which were documented on the show entitled Cathouse.

The adult hospitality business also attracted attention after former NBA star Lamar Odom was found unconscious at one of Hof's brothels located in Crystal, Nevada. The employees had told the 911 dispatchers that the athlete was discovered following a 3-day stay at the brothel. He is said to have spent $75,000 during a cocaine bender.

Dennis Hoff also set his sights on a political career. He was this year's Republican nominee for a heavily GOP legislative district. Ballots for the upcoming elections had already been printed before his death.
