The department shared images of two suspects on their FaceBook page, asking the public to help find two women suspected of the porch stealings. The suspects can be seen in pictures sent to authorities wearing full scrubs, gloves and lanyard badges.
"Officers are currently investigating a case of porch piracy and need your help. Both suspects have been reported as stealing packages delivered to Kennewick residences," the post reads. "If you recognize either female or the vehicle pictured please contact non-emergency dispatch at 509 628-0333 and provide KPD Case 20-16877- to clarify, both appear to dressed as nurses and we do not believe they are actual nurses."
One of the residents used her security camera to send a photo to the police. She says the nurse approached her porch immediately after a FedEx truck dropped off her package.
The department went on to thank real nurses for the hard work they do: "The nurses we are fortunate to know only give their time, lives, and take the vitals of their patients(not their property). Thank you for your help with their identification."
