Both Eminem and Rick Ross had big opening weeks for their respective albums, "Shady XV" and "Hood Billionaire."
Last week, the guy with the best selling hip-hop album of 2013 and the guy with the best selling hip-hop album of 2014 (thus far) dropped new albums. Though somewhat hampered by Shady XV's status as a partial "greatest hits" collection" and Hood Billionaire's rushed release mere months after Mastermind dropped, Eminem and Rick Ross still managed to have big first weeks sales-wise, ending up at numbers three and six, respectively, on the restructured Billboard 200.
The chart, which now includes streaming data in its tallies, has Shady XV at number three with 148,000 copies sold, and Hood Billionaire at number six with 79,000 units moved. Also, the new deluxe edition of Beyoncé's self-titled album finished at eight with 45,467 sold.
