Despite his attack in Chicago earlier this week, Jussie Smollett is still gearing up to take the stage at L.A.'s Troubadour this Saturday. Unfortunately for ticketholders, he won't be hosting a meet and greet after the show due to "security reasons."

TMZ reports that Jussie Smollett has canceled his meet and greet just days after the attack. The cancellation comes days after he was attacked in Chicago and there are high concerns for Smollett's safety. An e-mail was sent to those who purchased tickets for the meet and greet which read, "For security reasons we cannot accommodate any meet & greets. Your meet & greet upgrade can either be refunded or donated to the Black AIDS Institute in your name." The e-mail doesn't lay out any actual details as to what the potential threat might be.

Regardless of whether he did the meet and greet or not, Smollett deserves applause strictly based on the fact that he was only attacked a few days ago. The actor said that he was jumped by two men in Chicago who beat him down, poured bleach on him before tying a rope around his neck and declaring that he was in "MAGA country."

Smollett broke his silence earlier today in a statement. He reassured fans that he is okay but said that he needed more time to process the situation before he opens up out it to the public.
