"LANES" goes out to all the "cheating girls."
Tekashi 6ix9ine fans will be able to enjoy new music from the rapper despite his current imprisonment. The rapper teamed up with DJ Akademiks, also known as Lil AK, for a melodic track entitled "LANES." According to AK, the joint track is set to drop on all popular streaming platforms at midnight. Last week, DJ shared a clip of 6ix9ine grooving to the track in the studio. Apparently, the production came about a year ago on AK's birthday. "@6ix9ine did this record for me as a token of appreciation for all I helped him with in his career, he wrote in the post's caption. "It’s about time y’all hear it..."
He then encouraged his following to express their desire to experience the unreleased song by leaving comments. The release date was announced after they quickly reach the goal of 10 000 comments. The teaser only features 6ix9ine's auto-tuned vocals as he sings to a "cheating girl". "If you want it, you can get it," he croons. "I'm on your body, don't tell nobody."
DUMMY BOY also dropped while 6ix9ine was in the joint. After the project leaked, Ak was the one to announce Tekashi's intentions of releasing it officially despite his label's plans to shelve it until further notice.
