Hated on by many, the self-proclaimed King of the Youth is returning with his follow-up to Lil Boat, Lil Boat 2. While not everybody loves him, Yachty has had a positive impact on his younger audience, promoting a clean lifestyle free of drugs and authentically representing himself to the best of his ability. Lil Boat hopped on an Instagram live stream to show off some of the tracks that may be included on the Lil Boat 2 album in two weeks and they sound like a departure from the sound that we're accustomed to.

Depending on who you ask, Boat has produced his best work singing in his fun, bubblegum style while all three songs he previewed showcase his rapping ability. Don't get me wrong, Yachty can spit bars when he wants - just listen to "Mase in '97" or "For Hot 97." It will be interesting to take in the collective sound of the project and see if the ATLien goes for more of his signature crooning or does a full 180 and portrays the more aggressive Lil Boat for the entire album. After all, the album is named after his dynamic alter ego that appears to be more comfortable rapping.

From the snippets, it sounds like some hot producers have worked with Yachty on the effort, notably Pi'erre Bourne. Do the previews make you more excited for Lil Boat 2 to drop or are you not feeling it?
