The Royal Spanish Football Federation has announced that Barcelona superstar Neymar has been suspended for three matches, and will miss the much anticipated "Clasico" against Real Madrid.

During Barcelona's loss over the weekend, Neymar was sent off for picking up two yellow cards, which resulted in a mandatory one-game suspension.

However, according to ESPN, referee Jesus Gil Manzano wrote in his report that Neymar had "sarcastically applauded" the fourth official as he left the field, which the RFEF competition committee has determined is worthy of an additional two-game ban.

Barcelona, needing a win against Real Madrid if they hope to come back and retain La Liga, will reportedly appeal this decision.
