Rockstar Games has been teasing their sequel to Red Dead Redemption for years. It's been eight years since the first game came out, and you can bet that Rockstar has used that time to perfect Red Dead Redemption 2. A few trailers have highlighted the main plot, but a new clip showcasing the actual gameplay has finally arrived via Gamespot

"In the late 1800s, America was evolving, on its way to becoming the most powerful country in the world," the trailer's narrator reveals. "New immigrants arrived, thriving outposts became towns, and civilization was spreading into the huge, wild, and lawless frontier. With Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar Games aims to create a living world that's not simply open, but deeper, more interactive and detailed than ever, combining action, storytelling, and gameplay in new ways as you live, ride, and fight to survive as an outlaw in a notorious gang."

Gamers will take the role of Arthur Morgan, a gang member who is on the run from authorities. How Morgan interacts with the environment and his comrades will steer the narrative of the game. The footage looks absolutely gorgeous, with expansive landscapes and brutal killings highlighting the new trailer. Red Dead Redemption 2 drops on October 26.
