In the clip below you can see the modernized, Atlanta version of a mother who works hard to get her five single daughters hooked with a man. "In a contemporary adaptation of the Jane Austen classic, "Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta" follows Reverend Bennet, a pastor of a prominent southern Baptist church and his wife Mrs. Bennet, who is the author of a self-help book on how to find the perfect husband," the official synopsis reads. "Needless to say, Mrs. Bennet is less than thrilled that all five of their daughters, Lizzie, Jane , Mary, Lydia and Kitty are still single. When the very eligible Will Darcy arrives in town, Mrs. Bennet sets her sights on the handsome bachelor for daughter Lizzie, leading to a modern-day, comedic take on themes familiar to fans of the novel."
"I just wanna cry !! Mama and daddy, I made it !! Everybody make sure you guys watch #prideandprejudiceatlanta on @lifetimetv June 1st," Reginae captioned the first clip. Watch it in full below.
