As was projected earlier this week, ScHoolboy Q's new album, Blank Face LP, has made its debut at No. 2 on the albums chart that includes sales plus streaming. Q's new album has ceded the top spot to Drake's VIEWS, released at the end of April, which has now spent a total of 10 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1. Last week, VIEWS fell to No. 2 for the first time, ending a streak of nine consecutive weeks at the top. The No. 1 spot went to Blink-182's first album in almost five years, California, which has fallen to No. 6 on this week's SPS chart, reports HDD

The Blank Face LP moved the equivalent of 77,143 albums, including streams, while VIEWS was able to pull in a sales equivalent of 88,436 copies. In terms of pure album sales, however, Q's latest effort was the top-selling album of the past week, with considerably higher numbers than VIEWS. According to HDD, the pure sales of Blank Face LP over the past week amount to 52,189, while VIEWS only accounted for 15,871.

The newly released figures confirm that Blank Face LP has undersold Q's previous album, 2014's Oxymoron, which made its debut at No. 1, selling a reported 139,000 equivalent albums in its first week. In terms of its critical reception, however, many consider Blank Face LP to be Q's best work to date. Read HNHH's review of the new album here
