Broward County rapper Smokepurpp is in the midst of his glow up. Last week he announced a deal with Alamo Records, Todd Moscowitz's new venture with Universal Music Group. Yesterday, he released "Woah," a brooding, drug referenced-filled track produced by TM88 and Southside, and announced his next mixtape DEADSTAR.
“On this project, I tried a lot of new different things and sounds,” Smokepurrp told The Fader. “DEADSTAR has no boundaries. I tried touching any sound I can touch, and I really don’t care how people feel about it cause I myself feel like I am the tape. The tape is really me.”
Lil purpp bless your trap, lil purpp bless your trap
Popping percs, popping molly, popping xans
We just rolled up, we just almost killed your mans
Had a goofy nigga tweaking on the xans
