"I watch the same four, five movies all the time before I go to sleep."
There's going to be a lot of Shrek, Mulan, Home Alone and noodles in Victor Oladipo's future.
The Indiana Pacers' shooting guard is coming off the best season of his career, in which he was named an All-Star for the first time and received Most Improved Player honors, which means he'll want to stick with the same pre-game rituals in the upcoming season. During the Pacers' Media Day session today, Oladipo spoke about his routine, which includes watching one of the aforementioned movies every night and eating Noodles & Company before home games.
“Once I do something and I like it, I’m not going to change … I watched Home Alone 1 last night, it was pretty good y’all. I watch the same four, five movies all the time before I go to sleep. It’s like Home Alone, Home Alone 2, Shrek, Mulan and I might throw in something different on the fifth one, but those four are my main right before I go to sleep. When I’m at home, I eat Noodles & Company before every game, and I get the same exact thing every game. Every single game, before a game. It’s weird stuff like that I do, I guess you can call it a pregame ritual or routine.”
Last season, Oladipo posted career-highs across the board, averaging 23.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.4 steals per game while leading the Pacers to a 48-34 regular season record. Needless to say, the Shrek & Noodles combo seems to be working just fine.
